To celebrate the return of the RCA Award-nominated Rum & Reggae Racenight this 4th April, Wolverhampton Racecourse have partnered with the ACCI (African Caribbean Community Initiative) to host a charity evening to raise vital funds for their work in the local community.

Who are the ACCI?

The African Caribbean Community Initiative is a Wolverhampton-based mental health charity serving communities across the Black Country. Founded in 1987 in response to higher-than-average rates of psychiatric hospital admissions among people from the African Caribbean community, it has since grown into an inclusive organisation supporting individuals from all backgrounds. ACCI delivers holistic, person-centered care through a biopsychosocial approach, offering a wide range of ongoing support services while fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

How are Wolverhampton Racecourse and the ACCI raising funds for the charity?

During Rum & Reggae Racenight, Wolverhampton Racecourse will be hosting a charity fundraising experience in partnership with the African Caribbean Community Initiative. This will take place in the Sunbeam Suite, and this exclusive private dining event, will showcase authentic Caribbean cuisine in an intimate setting. Guests can also take part in a silent auction, with all proceeds going towards supporting the ACCI’s crucial work in the Wolverhampton community. It’s a brilliant way to experience the racenight with delicious food and incredible prizes up for grabs at the auction, all whilst contributing to a meaningful cause in the local area. For bookings or enquiries, please email: jpenman@wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk.
