This year, Wolverhampton Racecourse is partnering with the African Caribbean Community Initiative (ACCI) to host an exclusive private dinner in the Sunbeam Suite on this racenight. ACCI is a registered mental health charity based in the heart of Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton serving the Black Country. Originally established in 1987 by the Wolverhampton Rastafarian Progressive Association in response to the disproportionate admissions of people from the African Caribbean diaspora into psychiatric hospitals. Over the years ACCI has grown to welcome people from every walk of life and heritage as one of the few remaining mental health charities in the UK to continue delivering support using a truly holistic biopsychosocial model. Their mission is to always aim to do the right thing at the right time, with humanity. ACCI provides a broad spectrum of supportive services, which are not time bound and the charity considers all their members to be part of one big extended family.
