We have over 1500 free car parking spaces on site for anyone who chooses to drive to visit the races. We also have specially allocated coach parking spaces for larger groups who want to hire a coach.
The nearest train station is 2.5 miles away, so it’s best to get a taxi from Wolverhampton train station. The bus station is closer and just a 10-minute walk. We also have an on-site helipad and can arrange for arrival by helicopter, too.

By Car or Coach
We’re located just off the A449 (Stafford Road) dual carriageway and are signposted with brown tourist signs with a horse and jockey image.
By Bus
There are many regular buses in and out of Wolverhampton bus station, which is a short 10-minute walk from the racecourse.
By Train
Wolverhampton train station has regular, direct trains to and from Birmingham City centre which take just 20 minutes. Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester are on average just over an hour and 20 minutes train ride away. Just be aware that the station is about two and a half miles from the racecourse, which is a 40-minute walk or a short taxi ride. There are plenty of taxis outside the station.
By Air
We have an on-site helipad at Wolverhampton Racecourse, and Birmingham International Airport is about 25 miles away. There is a closer airport, Wolverhampton Business Airport at Halfpenny Green, which offers some local services.

Conveniently located in The City of Wolverhampton, off the A449 (Stafford Road) dual carriageway. Follow the brown tourist signs to Wolverhampton Racecourse (identified by the horse and jockey image). From north: Exit Junction 11 of the M6 and join the A460 towards Wolverhampton. Join the M54 at J1 Westbound. Exit at J2 and follow the A449 towards Wolverhampton. From south: Exit junction 10a of the M6 joining M54 to junction 2. Follow A449 towards Wolverhampton. We have over 1500 FREE car parking spaces available on site.
Buses regularly operate in and out of the Wolverhampton Bus station down in close proximity to the racecourse with a short 10 minute walk from the bus stop down to the course.
There are regular direct trains and Metro service to/from Birmingham City Centre (avg. 20min), Liverpool Lime Street (avg. 1hr and 24min) and Manchester (avg. 1hr and 22min).Click here for train times and updates.
